Our Award-Winning NZ Wines

The 2026 Sauvignon Blanc crop from Vicarage Lane’s vineyards was machine-harvested on 18 and 23 March, yielding 115.47 tonnes of good quality fruit.

The harvested fruit was pressed at Spring Creek Vintners, just a few kilometres from the vineyards, yielding about 90,000 litres of juice, which will be crafted into Vicarage Lane’s Sauvignon Blanc 2026 under the watchful eye of renowned New Zealand winemaker Alan McCorkindale.

Initial bottling of the finished wine takes place from August and, after rigorous export testing to ensure the wine meets New Zealand’s high export standards, the first export shipments will then leave for our foreign markets.

In general 2025-26 was a good growing season, with overall yields a bit lighter than the long term average. Bunches were a little smaller, but some rain around veraison increased berry sizes a little and the dry, warm weather after that ensured they could be left until ripening was complete and flavours were at their maximum for harvest.
