Vintage 2015

Vicarage Lane Wine’s 2015 Sauvignon Blanc crop was machine harvested on the 1st of April, yielding 79.33 tonnes of good quality fruit.

Some of the vines were suffering from frost damage late spring, so the crop level was expected.

The harvested fruit was then pressed at Spring Creek Vintners, just a few kilometres from the vineyard, producing 62,824 litres of juice which will be crafted into Vicarage Lane’s 2015 Sauvignon Blanc under the watchful eye of renowned New Zealand winemaker Alan McCorkindale.

Initial bottling of the finished wine will take place in June – July and, after rigorous export testing to ensure the wine meets New Zealand’s high export standards, the first export shipment can be expected to arrive in Finland late in the northern summer.
