Vintage 2016

Vicarage Lane Wine’s 2016 Sauvignon Blanc crop was machine harvested on 11-12 April, yielding 133.23 tonnes of good quality fruit.

The harvested fruit was then pressed at Spring Creek Vintners, just a few kilometres from the vineyard, producing 108,110 litres of juice which will be crafted into Vicarage Lane’s 2016 Sauvignon Blanc under the watchful eye of renowned New Zealand winemaker Alan McCorkindale.

Initial bottling of the finished wine will take place in early June and, after rigorous export testing to ensure the wine meets New Zealand’s high export standards, the first export shipment can be expected to arrive in Finland late in the northern summer.
