Vintage 2018

Vicarage Lane Wine’s 2018 Sauvignon Blanc crop was machine harvested on 28 March, yielding 110.76 tonnes of good quality fruit.

The harvested fruit was pressed at Spring Creek Vintners, just a few kilometres from the vineyard, yielding 90,935 litres of juice, which will be crafted into Vicarage Lane’s 2018 Sauvignon Blanc under the watchful eye of renowned New Zealand winemaker Alan McCorkindale. Initial bottling of the finished wine will take place in late May and, after rigorous export testing to ensure the wine meets New Zealand’s high export standards, the first export shipment can be expected to arrive in Finland late in the northern summer.
